Xpadder is a free and portable application which allows you to use your gaming controller to simulate keyboard or mouse input.
It can support a number of different gaming pads including those from Microsoft Xbox or Sony Playstation, as long as the proper drivers are installed.

WINDOWS7
To install on Windows 7, you must right-click the installer, Properties, Compatiblity tab, and enable Run in XP Compatiblity Mode. It might also help to enable Run as admin.
